Blankets Made with Love

So many children were left orphaned, homeless or injured after the tornadoes that hit Alabama on April 27, 2011. These littlest survivors need love. They need to feel safe and they need to be comforted. That is exactly what you give by knitting, crocheting, sewing or fleece knotting a baby blanket made with love. If you do not know how you can donate yarn or fabric to those who can make a blanket.

If you would like to donate fabric to make minky baby blankets, it takes 1.5 yards cotton fabric for the front and 1.5 yards minky fabric for the back.

If you would like to donate yarn, please email Amber at to get a address of one of the knitters to mail the yarn to.

If you would like to give a homemade blanket, please mail the finished blankets to Blankets Made with Love, 4807 Melissa Way, Birmingham, AL 35243.
